What is a site supervisor licence?
A Site Supervisor licence allows an employee or officer (of a licensed contractor) to personally supervise building work under the employer's licence. An applicant is only required to meet the technical qualifications.
Who requires this licence?
Any person who is supervising the carrying out of building work as an employee - where the supervision of the work does not require the applicant to hold either a nominee supervisor or contractor licence. Site supervisor licences are not issued for fire protection, occupational, design or builder - project management services licence classes.
How do you apply for a licence?
Complete the Site Supervisor Application Form
Provide a copy of the required technical qualification (contained on the Site Supervisor Licensing fact sheet)
You DO NOT need to supply financial information, complete a managerial course or document experience.
The original completed application should be mailed to GPO Box 5099, Brisbane, Qld 4001 or lodged in person at the nearest BSA office (also detailed on application form). Warning: Please do not send in original documents, such as technical qualifications, unless required.
