Change in Value of Work
You or your contractor should notify BSA if any changes occur in the value of work being performed under your contract (increase or decrease in value).

You will be sent an updated Certificate of Insurance containing the new contract value.

Cancelling a Contract - No Work Commenced
Where a contract is cancelled (this must not be more than ONE year from the date the contract was entered into) a refund of the premium may be payable. Your contractor is responsible for ensuring that the required information is provided to BSA before any refund can be made - an administration fee may be charged.

Contract Termination
It is important to seek legal advice where considering terminating a contract. If you and your contractor legally terminate a contract BSA may investigate any alleged defects and non-completion items. Where a contract has been legally terminated you may be able to obtain assistance in relation to defective work and non-completion under the Home Warranty Insurance Scheme.
