Selection Process
The selection process generally includes consideration of applications, interview and reference checks, however other selection techniques may be used such as providing work samples, skills tests and/or presentations.
During the interview you will have the opportunity to explain or clarify information given in your application and any other new information that may be relevant.
All interviewees will be asked the same questions to assist the Selection Panel to assess how well you meet the requirements of the role.
Reference Checks
Referees of the highest rating candidates may be contacted to verify the information gathered about the candidates.
Post Selection Process
Post selection feedback is available to all applicants upon request. This can be arranged through the Selection Panel.
Promotion Appeals
If you are a Queensland Public Sector employee you may appeal against an appointment if you consider yourself more meritorious than the appointee, or of you consider the selection process as unfair or inappropriate. You may appeal if both you and the appointee are officers of the Queensland Public Sector and your application was received by the closing date.
There are no appeal rights against Senior Executive Service and Senior Officer Positions.
