Taking out Home Warranty

When taking out BSA Home Warranty Insurance you need to make sure you have the following information:

The name of the individual or company that is on the contract.
- This is especially important if you hold more than one licence, ie your individual or company licence
The licence number that matches what is on the contract
The lot and plan number.
- The best source of information for these is on the owner's rates notice or through Local Council.
- There is also a Queensland Wide Atlas available at: http://gis.qld.gov.au/iqed/map/ .
- There is no guarantee that this Registered Property Description (RPD) will be completely accurate and we always suggest you contact the owner or the local council in the first instance. To search the Queensland Wide Atlas, click on the link above and select Property. You will then need to enter either the address or lot and plan.
Know that the work is insurable and can be performed under your licence

Be sure you have a contract value which reflects the value on your contract. To work out the premium, you can access the premium table here - Insurance Premiums

The contract date of your contract. This date is determined by when both parties have signed in agreement of the contractual works and obligations.
